Community Dinners program
Community Dinners is the signature mission program of First Presbyterian Church and Manitowoc Cooperative Ministry.
Feeding America says that one in seven people in our part of Wisconsin are facing hunger. Food insecurity remains a problem for adults and children in our community. Community Dinners is one program helping to reduce hunger in Manitowoc.
Community Dinners at First Presbyterian Church started in 2008 and has steadily grown since then. We currently serve about 200 free meals every week. We are serving meals every Wednesday from 5-6PM at First Presbyterian Church (502 N 8th Street in downtown Manitowoc). Due to the COVID pandemic, meals are currently only to-go. You can drive-up or walk up to our 8th Street entrance and you will be provided with a healthy, prepared meal to-go. We hope to resume dining inside together in the near future.
MISSION: Community Dinners at First Presbyterian Church shall serve meals to all people, along with hope, as we address hunger, mental health, nutrition, and spiritual needs.
VISION: Community Dinners at First Presbyterian Church exists to feed body and soul. We believe that all people deserve to have a home-cooked meal in an atmosphere of respect, compassion, and friendship.
All are welcome! No forms to fill out, no questions asked, no reservations needed. Stop by any Wednesday.
If you are interested in volunteering or donating food/supplies/equipment, please email Pastor Matt. If you'd like to offer financial support, use the buttons below.
