A message from Pastor Matt

Dear Friends and Members of Manitowoc Cooperative Ministry,

Each year at this time, we pause to give thanks — for one another, for the ministry we share, and for the grace of God that has carried us through another season of life and service together. As we reflect on all that we have been given, we are reminded that gratitude is not simply a feeling; it is a way of living.

We give because we are thankful. We give because our lives have been touched by this community — through worship that uplifts, care that surrounds us in hard times, and ministries that reach out to our neighbors in need. Together, we are the heart of the Lakeshore, and both our members and our wider community depend on the stability, compassion, and hope that MCM provides.

This year, like many families and organizations, our church faces new financial challenges. Rising healthcare costs have increased the cost of pastoral compensation by over $3,000. We are also proposing a modest 3% increase in all wages — not out of luxury, but because it is the just thing to do for those who serve faithfully and work hard to make our ministry possible. These changes ensure that we continue to care well for the people who care for others.

We ask that each of us prayerfully consider an increase in your giving for the coming year. Even a small adjustment, offered in gratitude, makes a large difference when we all share in the effort. Your continued generosity enables us to keep growing, serving, and shining light into the places that need it most.

Let us bind together and move forward in hope. The Spirit that began this good work among us is still moving — still calling us to be a people of gratitude, justice, and love.

With deep thanks and faith in what we will do together,
Pastor Matt

The Rev Dr Matthew L Sauer, Pastor
Manitowoc Cooperative Ministry

Please complete the Pledge Estimate form below. Bring it to Worship or mail it to the Church Office before December 14. You can also simply send an email to [email protected] stating your estimate of giving. Because of you, we can teach the Gospel, do the work of Christ, worship God, and—with Christ—transform our community.
